A Premium Drysuit
3mm Dual Density Gas Blown Polymer
A return to a traditional drysuit ethos incorporating 21st century design and technology.
Drysuits were traditionally tough and heavy and offered a lot of protection. Over the past 20 years suits have become lighter and more flexible; however RBX marks a return to the traditional drysuit - bomb-proof, heavy-weight polymer but providing modern-day levels of comfort and movement for the diver. RBX is a premium product and holds pride of place as Northern Diver’s top-of-the-range drysuit.
RBX is noticeably heavier than comparable drysuits - using dual-density gas-blown polymer means that RBX can provide the toughness of a suit twice its thickness without the bulk. The weight remains but the polymer thickness doesn’t - wearing RBX provides what many divers have been searching for.
Whilst an excellent choice for the sport diver, the advantages to technical and commercial divers is very apparent. With the toughness and durability, comfort and ease of use, RBX is very much a case of the traditional meeting the contemporary.
Hold RBX and feel the weight. Try RBX on and appreciate the design. Dive RBX and be convinced.

What the press say
The Ultra-Flexible RBX is capable of coping with the stresses that UK divers can inflict on a drysuit. The dual-density polymer means that it effectively has the same toughness as a suit twice as thick. Furthermore, its outer shell features a small cross-stitch weave - reputed to increase its durability by 400 percent - and all seams are 'bonded for life'.
Kevlar reinforcing has been added to the shoulders and knees, while the zip flap, seat area and fitted socks feature overprinting. Each thigh supports a zipped cargo pocket with D-ring, and the arms each have a natty computer dock that's designed to retain the leading brands of dive computers.
We've been diving with the RBX for several months, and there are only cosmetic differences between the latest version and ours. It can certainly cope with the rough treatment we gave it at the Test Centre and, as you can see from the photograph, it looks as good as new. The latest version comes with quick-drying chest area, larger grips on the pockets (so you can use them with gloved hands), and the computer dock on both wrists.
Verdict
Puts Northern Diver in the premier league of drysuits.

RBX after 50+ dives...
We bumped into Charles Hood, chief tester for Dive magazine at Penzance Marina. We were pleased to see that two of the three man dive team were wearing RBX drysuits.
Charles' RBX has so far been used for 50+ dives and has performed beautifully.
Charles was interogated about the RBX and he was kind enough to provide us with user feedback which we use as part of our continuous dive testing and which is integral to our product development.
