Platina Evolution from Tusa. The BCJ-3850 is a BC Jacket designed to create absolute tank stability. In addition to the Ultimate Stabilizing Harness which prevents the tank moving around thanks to the dual rails, it also employs an Independent Harness System. The Tank Suspension System has been improved to allow the diver to adjust the tank to the preferred tension after putting it on. This level of stability was impossible with previous BC Jackets. Also, in addition to TUSA's own O.P.E.V. system, two dump valves have been added to allow a rapid pressure exhaust in any position. The weight system with its quick-release function, provides comfort and outstanding weight balance. Thick cushions are used for the pack pads achieving a comfortable fit. The bottom of the shoulder straps can be attached in either of two positions which are appropriate to the conditions of use and the body type of the diver, thus improving the fit.
The A.W.L.S. allows the diver to insert weights into the weight-cartridges as well as into the loading pockets on the front of the jacket. Additionally, with weight distribution to the shoulder area, the weighed-down feeling that traditionally associates with a weight belt is eliminated. 4kg/8lbs (maximum: 6kg/12lbs) of weight can be placed in each of the left and right sides and the two service pockets on the rear side of the jacket can each hold up to 1kg/2lbs (maximum: 2kg/4lbs) of additional weight. (Total recommended weight: 10kg/20lbs; maximum: 16kg/32lbs. The weight cartridge is easy to release in an emergency, but the safety lock makes sure that it is not released accidentally.
